There is no such thing as a “safe” or “healthy” tan. By age 70, one in five of us will be affected by skin cancer. In this program, participants will learn about the effects of ultraviolet light on skin and eyes, types of cancer, and sun safety strategies, along with learning more about the effectiveness of sunscreen.
This program includes a free sun damage screening with a DermaScan.
Laura Halladay, NDTR, Family & Consumer Sciences Educator, Ohio State University Extension, Greene County, will present helpful information and answer questions on this topic.
Picnic tables are available. Please bring a chair or cushion for your comfort.
This is a FREE program.
