Camping

Warblers, rabbits, and bass...

…Oh, MY!

No lions, tigers, and bears around here. Just many other – friendlier – varieties of wildlife that will be your roommates when you camp in Greene County. Our beautiful woods and prairies, streams and rivers are your living room where you – oh, Adventurous One – can go off-grid. Head out with family for night or with friends for the weekend.

With access to our bike trails, you can go from home to camp and back again without starting a single engine. The Miami Valley Bike Trails offer the touring cyclist and the “overnighter” many opportunities for primitive camping. All camping sites are primitive (no electricity or running water) and are located along the trail or within a short distance of the trail corridor.

There is a limit of one family household per campsite, and a predetermined maximum occupancy level for each campsite (never more than 10).

  • All camping is primitive in nature. Tents only permitted.
  • Recreational campers are prohibited at the following locations: Jacoby Road Canoe Launch, Narrows Reserve, Constitution Park, Mill Bridge Launch, Old Town Reserve.
  • All permit holders must be 18 years or older.
  • No permits can be issued for more than three consecutive days and shall not exceed six days per 30-day period within the park system.
