Fishing isn’t for everyone…

Only cool people seem to like it.

Okay, okay – we admit there are some cool people who don’t fish. No matter where you stand on the cool-not-cool issue, Spring Lakes is the best place to go fishing. Bring your dad or grandfather. Bring your kids. Bring your mama.

You have a shelter and standing grills, restrooms, and plenty of room to spread out. That means you can go from hook to plate to your belly all right there. Have your family bring all the fixings – potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, sweet tea – and you have yourself a bona fide summer cookout.

When will Spring Lakes be stocked with fish?
A:

We stock on a monthly basis, but specific dates vary.

Critter Cove

The Critter Cove at Spring Lakes Park is full of critters to see and fun things to do! It houses our resident ambassador animals and offers interactive activities for the whole family.

Currently, the critters are on their back-to-school tour. Watch Facebook for special pop-up hours when they’ll be back home so you can stop in and check out the displays, sign out a fishing pole to fish, or just sit and read a book. Of course, you can still enjoy the park and lake anytime!

Teachers! Visit our Education Programs page for information on how our staff can help coordinate a Critter visit. You can also complete our School Program Request Form to get started.
