About Your Park Rangers

The Greene County Park District was established in 1964 and commissioned its first group of rangers in 1979. The Ranger Division's primary objective is to provide a safe and enjoyable visit for all of our visitors. Their jurisdiction comprises nearly 2,900 acres of land in over 60 sites and includes 62 miles of paved, multi-use trails.

Greene County Park District Rangers are state certified, law enforcement officers who exercise full police powers in the commission of their duties. We have seven full-time rangers and three reserve rangers. They patrol seven days a week and log over 9,000 patrol hours per year, using marked patrol cars, ATVs, bicycles and on foot.
