Spring Lakes Park

South of Bellbrook is Spring Lakes Park, a 23-acre fisherman's paradise, where two adjoining ponds are kept stocked with catfish and trout. The park has a picnic shelter, grills, a bait house, a fishing pier, access to the hiking trails in Sugarcreek Reserve --- and plenty of parking.

You don't need a State of Ohio fishing license, but you must purchase a Greene County fishing permit from the park attendant or by filling out the self-permitting form at the park before you fish.  You can also get your fishing permit at the park agency headquarters, 575 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Activities: Fishing (with permit as described above), picnic shelter, hiking, fishing pier, bait house, limited facilities.
